David J. Pretter graduated from Pace University School of Law in 2013 and
became a member of the New York State Bar in 2014. He is also a member
of the bars of the United States Eastern and Southern Districts of New
York, as well as the New York State Bar Association, New York State Trial
Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association.
Mr. Pretter has been an associate at Mirman, Markovits & Landau, P.C.
since 2014, where he has concentrated on writing and research on a wide
range of cases, including construction accidents, motor vehicle and trucking
accidents, and premises and fall down accidents.
During law school, Mr. Pretter interned in New York Family Court assisting
the judge in matters concerning parental rights and custody. Mr. Pretter
is a fierce advocate and fighter for the rights of his clients, and has
won numerous motions in court on behalf of injured New Yorkers on both
injury and liability issues.
Mr. Pretter grew up in Staten Island and now makes his home in Brooklyn
with his wife and young son. He is extensively involved in his community,
and donates his time and resources to an organization that assists and
provides for families with a single parent. Mr. Pretter aims to provide
comprehensive support for children who come from single parent homes.
The current and planned programs include; trips for the family, special
events to bring excitement into a child’s life, big brother/big
sister mentoring, extracurricular activities, school advocacy, parent
support, financial assistance and more.
